I’m not saying beet juice is the most delicious thing ever. I mean, I love beets, I really do, but I will acknowledge that beet juice itself does taste somewhat like, well, dirt.

However, I happily drink a glass of it a day (mercifully cut with apple juice and carrot juice) for its apparently remarkable benefits to my overall health.

(The exceptionally squeamish may stop reading here. I’m about to delve into various physiological details that may be off-putting to those of delicate sensibilities.)

Neulasta Follow-up

I promised I would report back once I’d had a few Neulasta shots, for the edification of other Neulasta takers.

For those of you NOT contemplating medical solutions to boosting your white blood cell counts, this post may fall in the “too much information” category, although the physiological details aren’t too gory. But if you’re squeamish, wait for my next post, which will be about unicorns and fuzzy pink slippers.

Neupogen & Neulasta, the Gory Details: Part 1

Okay, so the details aren’t so gory, at least not in context, but what you are about to read may displease those who are not accustomed to discussing intimate medical details over a pastrami sandwich. In the future I will always tag these posts with the “too much information” tag so that you know when I’m delving into the details of treatment.

So if the topics of needles, bone pain, bowel movements, and the like are not your preferred reading, skip this post and wait till I talk about something like acting, the insanity of dogs, or Floridian bird life. You’ll sleep better.
